Ricardo Villegas Warren —
Fine Art Photographer & Scientist

I was born between the ridges of Colombia, where silence was never just absence—but a presence, a fullness. I now live in the Netherlands, chasing that same quiet in the overlooked, the ordinary, the nearly invisible.
I am a self-taught photographer and trained scientist. In my work, I look for the friction between the structured and the organic—where human intervention gives way to time, nature, and chance. My images often center around stillness, geometry, textures, and the poetics of found moments.
I work with both analog and digital formats, often blending processes and using film stock not just for nostalgia, but for its unpredictability and tone.
My series The Insistence of Things and Exploratory Visions explore different facets of this slow attention—each a fragment of a broader search for intimacy in the everyday.
I’m available for exhibitions, collaborative projects, and licensing.
Let’s talk quietly.
